Subject: Peter Lawford and Phyllis Kirk Good in "The Thin Man"
A delightful episode of "The Thin Man." Phyllis Kirk and Peter Lawford made a nice couple in this series, which is now almost six decades old. Seeing Robbie the Robot from the movie, "The Forbidden Planet," from 1956 was also treat.

This was a natural property for MGM to adapt to television, since they'd had a lot of success with the film franchise in the 30s. MGM dipped their toes in TV with "MGM Parade" around 1956, then a couple of seasons later went into production with "The Thin Man" and a Revolutionary War-era adventure series called "Northwest Passage".

Yeah, I used to watch this at six years of age and confused when it went off th air. I think it was on one season. It was part of MGM's reluctance to get into TV. The other show was the MGM Parade. Gpt any more?
